Travel beyond the immediate San Antonio area is quoted openly rather than hidden in a package figure.
How far in advance should I book?
Nine to twelve months for a peak-season Saturday wedding, six to twelve months for a quinceañera, and by late summer for autumn family portraits. What do I actually receive after a session?
Individually edited high-resolution digital images delivered in a private online gallery, with download and print ordering built in. Family members can order their own prints from the same link. Albums, wall art and framed portraits are chosen separately, after you have seen the images.
What time of day are sessions scheduled?
Almost always in the last 60 to 90 minutes before sunset, which in San Antonio ranges from about 5:35 p.m. in December to about 8:35 p.m. in June. Midday outdoor sessions are avoided because overhead Texas sun produces harsh shadows across the face and causes squinting.
How much does photography cost in San Antonio?
It depends on hours of coverage, your date, travel distance, the number of locations and whether a second shooter is needed. What happens if it rains on my session date?
Portrait sessions are rescheduled rather than shot in poor conditions, at no penalty. For weddings, every timeline includes an indoor fallback for both the ceremony and the couple portraits, identified during planning so the decision on the day takes two minutes rather than twenty.
Do you need a permit to photograph at the San Antonio Missions?
For wedding and quinceañera photography, the National Park Service asks that you obtain a Special Use Permit. The application carries a $50 fee and should be submitted at least 30 days ahead. Photography inside the mission churches is not permitted, though the exteriors and grounds are open during park hours.
